Bread Barn's Just Fantastic French Toast

8 slices Bread Barn Cinnamon Swirl Bread

2 medium bananas cut in 1/4" slices (*)

1 cup milk

4 oz. cream cheese, softened

3 eggs

1/3 cup sugar

3 Tbs. flour

2 tsp. vanilla

Heat oven to 350°F if serving the same day. Place 4 slices of Cinnamon Swirl in a single layer in a buttered 9" square baking dish. Top with bananas and 4 slices of Cinnamon Swirl. Blend milk, cream cheese, eggs, sugar, flour, and vanilla in a blender until smooth. Pour over Cinnamon Swirl stack. Let stand 5 minutes or refrigerate overnight. Bake 40-45 minutes (50-55 minutes if refrigerated), until set and top are toasted. Let stand 10 minutes. Cut French Toast into diagonal halves and remove with a spatula. Dust with powdered sugar or use pure maple syrup if desired. Enjoy!

(*) Can also use thin-sliced apples or cranberries


Bread Barn's Decadent Bread Pudding

1 loaf Bread Barn Cinnamon Swirl Bread, cubed

7 eggs

3 Tbs. butter, melted

1/2 tsp. nutmeg

1½ cups raisins or other fruit

3 to 3¼ cups milk

3 cups sugar

1 Tbs. vanilla

Add bread cubes and mix until well coated. Let soak for 30 minutes. Spread into baking dish. Bake at 350°F for 40 plus minutes. Enjoy warm with ice cream or caramel sauce!
